Presentations- Night 1

Everyone that presented so far did a really good job. I was very impressed. It's really evident that everyone put a lot of effort into these projects. I am very proud of my group as well, even though we did not perform yet. We all worked together and contributed equal amounts. Hopefully that shows in our presentation next week! Good job to all my group members!

Business Interview Presentation

I think overall I did well on my presentation last night. After seeing everyone else's slides, I realized that mine may have had a little too much info and I could have made my slides a little more concise, but that's okay because I finished just in time for the 5 minutes. I think everyone did a very good job on their presentations. Everyone covered their info really well and had good speaking skills. I enjoyed watching them!

My experience with non-profit organizations

A previous experience I have had in business was volunteering for non-profit organizations. I have volunteered at a variety of non-profit organizations including different charities and religious organizations, but the one I spent the most time volunteering for was a nursing home in Allentown, Pa. I started volunteering around the age of twelve. The facility is called Phoebe Nursing Home. It is a non-profit organization, this means that they are not in business to make a profit, they are in business to help others and to be generous. My experience with Phoebe Nursing Home was a positive one because I enjoy devoting time to a business that I know is working to help others rather than themselves.
